Product care linen blanket & bedspread

Our pure linen blanket is a great choice that should give you lasting pleasure. The blanket is woven such that it is exceptionally airy and breathes second to none. It is enzyme soft washed to have this plush and uniquely comfortable feel.

For the best experience, please follow the below suggestions and care instructions.

About the Crafting

The Vesta Pure Linen Blanket is unique in its crafting. Its texture is special thanks to its open weaving pattern which, combined with a woolly washing, contracts the flat fabric into an airy structure. So, it appears like a knitted woolen, rendering its very open fabric also very stretchy.

To feel soft to the skin, the woolly washing substantially softens the otherwise coarse flax fibers. The refined crafting makes the blanket a perfect fit for delicate use.

Unpacking and first-time use

The blanket may appear compacted and show some folds due to packaging and storage. These folds naturally diminish over time as the fabric breathes.

To expedite the process and revitalize the blanket, it's best to hang it in the open air. Alternatively, you can use a tumble dryer on a gentle, low heat setting for airing and unwrinkling.

Flax fluffs

The pure linen blanket is made of natural flax, comprising both long and short fibers. At every stage of the manufacturing process, short fibers are removed, but some may remain in the finished product. These will quickly separate and fluff up after first use.

Airing

Preserving both texture and longevity, please avoid washing unless necessary. Pure linen is anti-bacterial by nature anyway.

Ideally, regularly air the blankets to let the natural fibers breathe and rejuvenate. This process naturally makes the fabric appear richer and fuller.

Occasional washing

Although we strongly advise against regular washing, an occasional hand or machine wash is feasible.

If machine washing, please use a gentle, non-destructive program (preferably wool setting) at a low temperature (30°C max).
Wash with like colors to prevent color transfer.
Avoid bleach and aggressive cleaning agents or detergents.
Preferably, air-dry in the open. If not, tumble dry on low
Never iron the blanket, as ironing will undo its special structure.
